The Miami Dolphins American Football team have been one of the games iconic sides, leading the way for others to follow and bringing many new supporters to the game with their blend of an exciting passing game and a steely defence. They are also the only team in NFL history to record a "perfect season" - which was achieved in 1972 when they won every game, upto and including the Superbowl.
The team has seen ups and downs in it's long history, but has always retained that special feeling in the hearts of many - buoyed no doubt by the excitement that the Dolphins bring to any football game.

Dolphins Stadium
Home since 1987, the stadium covers a vast area and is used for many major sports and entertainment events. It has also been the venue for the Orange Bowl since 1996 and is scheduled to host the Superbowl itself in both 2007 and 2010, having already hosted it three times in its short history. Most people will recognise the address of the stadium, which is 2269 Dan Marino Boulevard.
Dan Marino
Widely acknowledged as one of the finest quarterbacks ever, Dan Marino led the Dolphins from the mid 80's and into the 90's, breaking many records along the way. His passing ability was awesome, and with the rest of the team working around him there was nothing they couldn't achieve. Pass yardages, completions, touchdowns; it was all there in Dan Marino's powerful arm, with many of those records still standing today. Such was his impact that they retired his number as it was felt no-one would ever be able to live up to the expectation of wearing the number 13.
Don Shula
The iconic head coach of the Dolphins for 25 years, Shula led from the front and was a catalyst for the amazing run the team had in the 70's, including their "perfect season". With a good eye for developing new talent, and a real understanding of his teams strengths, Don Shula never stood still in his desire to create the best possible football team. He is now celebrated throughout Miami, his name adorning many buildings and streets.
